Briefing

Standard practice for a Briefing is to get all the officers together, either once a week, or at the start of a shift, in the same location. Senior officers will give a presentation to the officers, saying this is who we are on the look out for, this is a new initiative, and so forth. And whilst all officers have to remain for the full briefing, much of it might not be relevant.

tuServ enables Briefings to be pushed out to officers, with all relevant content included - such as videos and slides. The officer can review them in tuServ, focusing on the Briefings that are applicable to them, but optionally able to view the other Briefings too. Plus any officers already out on patrol, can have any Briefings relevant to them or their location, pushed out to them in the field.

It is another means of saving time for the officers, so they can focus on policing.

Tasking

tuServ is also a means of assigning Tasks to officers from colleagues back in the control room, such as ‘go to this address’. Once an officer has accepted a Task, it can be added to the officer’s Event Dashboard, and can include all the information needed to complete the Task, as well as background information.

Again, it saves time, and prevents duplication of effort.

With tuServ, Tasks can also be assigned by geo-zones - rather than be assigned to an officer, it will be to a specific geo-fenced area (radius) and whenever an officer walks into that area, they will get a notification for the Task, and can optionally accept it.

Briefing and Tasking

With tuServ, a Briefing can be associated with a Task, to provide the officer with context, and give them a broader understanding of why they’re doing that task.

Auditing

Briefing and Tasking with tuServ are fully audited - so it can identify which officers have viewed which Briefings, viewed and accepted which Tasks, see who carried out repeated Tasks, and any notes produced.
